Daneel de Villiers, one of the two Co-founders and Managing Directors of De Villiers Walton (DVW), is changing the face of traditional consulting as we know it. In addition to managing DVW, he is also actively involved in the on-site delivery of engagements. He still finds the time to review and sharpen the offering portfolio that DVW is carefully creating.
Daneel entered the business world in the early 90’s after completing a Business Commerce Degree in Computer Science, Financial Accounting and Economics followed by Honors Business Commerce Degree in Computer Science from Stellenbosch University, South Africa. After spending 7 years with Unilever in a variety of Business and IT related roles, Daneel joined PriceWaterhouse UK in 1997 as a SAP Functional Consultant specializing in FI/CO. This launched the next phase of his career in Global Consulting.
Daneel’s project responsibilities grew from Project and Programme Management through to Senior Solution Architect and Lead Functional Consultant in a wide geographic reach through Europe and the US, and in industries ranging from Pharmaceuticals, Utilities, Banking, Defense, Professional Services, Telco and Media. Continuing to gain in experience, particularly in leading edge technologies such as SAP NetWeaver, Daneel ensured that he was at the forefront of the latest trends while keeping his skills well established within the core of SAP products. He has specialized in the implementation of SAP NetWeaver Technologies since 2000 and is currently one of the top SAP NetWeaver trainers, delivering training on behalf of SAP in the UK, Ireland, Sweden and Belgium. Daneel prides himself on delivering high quality business solutions consistently, on time and on budget; but more importantly, simply and sleekly through the appropriate use of technology.
In 2003 Daneel realized that there was a niche that had yet to be filled - there had to be a better way to deliver customer engagements. So, with Daneel’s academic background, broad but detailed experience and pragmatism, it seemed a natural step to channel these attributes into his own company - hence the formation of DVW. Now passionate about technical and business consulting, particularly within the world of SAP architectures, he provides the perfect balance of focused technical ability with clear business acumen to be able to bring striking clarity to complex business situations.
