Daneel de Villiers
I am co-founder and Managing Directors of De Villiers Walton (DVW). In addition to management and business development responsibilities, I am also actively involved in customer engagements.
My career started in the early 90’s after completing degrees in Computer Science, Financial Accounting and Economics from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. After 7 years with Unilever - in a variety of IT and Business related roles - I joined Price Waterhouse in 1997 as a SAP Functional Consultant specializing in Finance and Controlling. In 2003 I co-founded DVW with my business partner, Darron Walton.
During my career my project responsibilities progressed from SME to Project and Programme Management and finally to Enterprise / Solution / Technical Architecture. I delivered a number of projects throughout Europe, Africa and the US in industries including Consumer Products, Pharmaceuticals, Utilities, Banking, Defence, Professional Services, Telco and Media. Whilst growing in experience, particularly in leading edge ETL, data staging and system integration technologies, I stayed at the forefront of the latest trends by keeping my skills well established within core SAP products (such as SAP Enterprise, NetWeaver, BI and the RTDP).
Specialties: Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Technical Architecture, Information Technology, System Integration, Business Intelligence, SAP.
