Deploy the Alteryx Connector for SAP on Alteryx Server in the Cloud

A recent LinkedIn posting, “Alteryx Here Alteryx There Alteryx Everywhere on Azure” by, Håkan Söderbom kicked off a flurry of activity at DVW Analytics. 

​The question: Can Alteryx customers install the Alteryx Connector for SAP (“ACS”) on Microsoft Azure and still successfully extract data from SAP? 

The answer was a resounding, “Yes”. The ACS for Alteryx Server runs on Alteryx Server on Microsoft Azure.

While as at time of writing, Alteryx has not created a virtual machine for Alteryx Server on Azure you can read a detailed step-by-step guide for manually installing Alteryx Server on Azure at the Alteryx Community site.

As for installing the ACS for Alteryx Server, no special steps are required. You simply installed the connector as you would for a locally managed server.
